Councillor Morris welcomed everyone to the Annual Parish Meeting.

The minutes had previously been circulated. These were agreed as an accurate record of the meeting and signed by the Chairman.

Report from Stephen Rose – The Parochial Church Council of Badwell Ash
Vicar Catriona Brinkley came along as Stephen Rose was unavailable. Catriona read out her report at the meeting and a copy is attached.
One item of news reported on was the Santa Dash Food Bank run organised by the Badwell Ash Running Club. This was a successful event and Catriona is currently arranging for a food bank collection point to be set up in St Mary’s Church in Badwell Ash. This will be collected by the Stowmarket and Area Food Bank. Councillor Morris asked if Catriona could write an article for the next edition of the Broadsheet to raise awareness.

Peter Dixon, Vice Chair of the VHC read the report written by Clive Hawkins, previous VHC Chair. He also read out a brief report on behalf of the new VHC Chair Ed Walsh. Copies of both reports are attached.

Report from Sasha Evans – Badwell Ash Running Club
Keeley Griffiths gave a brief report on behalf of the Badwell Ash Running Club. The Club is a friendly, community led group for all fitness levels and has runners from other running clubs such as Ixworth, Elmswell and Botesdale. The Club organised ‘Santas Dash’ which was a festive run, jog, walk in support of a local food bank and also raised donations for St Mary’s church. Councillor Morris thanked the members of the Club which has brought the community together.
